About Nanabosho

Nanabosho is the teacher and protector of the Anishinabe people. He was sent by Creator to help the Anishinabe people. He discovered that people are not easily helped and he resorts to all kinds of tricks and antics to teach people about how to behave and how to survive. The stories of his exploits have been passed down orally for thousands of years by the Anishinabe. Sometimes Nanabosho changes into other forms, such as a rabbit, an owl, a tree or a rock to help make a point. Sometimes he puts himself into a humourous situation to make a point. No matter what he does, He is always teaching.
